September 11, 2001
September 11, 2001, started as a beautiful, normal day with a clear blue sky. That “normalcy” was shattered as the nation came to realize it was under attack and began to respond to a growing crisis. In 102 minutes, our nation was transformed. This exhibit will highlight the events that took place in New York City, at the Pentagon, and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
“It was a gorgeous, blue sky, crisp day… broken when the aircraft hit the building and the smoke came off the Pentagon.”
-Officer James B. Daly, Arlington County Police Department
